China Coal Tuke(CCT) Waterline completed the commissioning and trial run one time successfully on May 12th, 2017, so far with all indicators meeting the design requirements. This line is strikingly featured as its long distance, high head and large flowrate for CQPI pumps.
The overall length of CCT waterline is 141 km starting from Mengda Industrial Park in Erdos of Inner Mongolia , ending at the Tuke terminal. Key information of the pipeline is diameter of 1.2m, designed flow of 4,800m3/h, and head of first stage pump station up to 360m. This is the longest distance and highest head waterline example of single stage pump station.
The general design of the station is by Inner Mongolia Water and Hydropower Survey Design Institute which introduced the advanced design conception and first designed single stage pump station through large flow and high head pipeline system plan.
Chongqing Pump Industry Co., Ltd.(CQPI) is honored to apply its multi-stage centrifugal pumps in this critical lines. And it’s designed flow is 1,260m3/h and head is 366m, with pumps 4 in use 1 standby, satisfying the demand perfectly in commissioning and constant running. Meanwhile, the CQPI pump unit, thanks to its high running performance, has replaced similar imported foreign brands in current domestic applications.
The testing result is approximate with Coase theorem simulation, and it again proves the importance of axial-flow type check valve in surge pressure controlling to high head water pipelines.
